Reclaimed wood is earth friendly and 100% recycled,: no trees were destroyed. And while new harvested lumber is manufactured to look old, reclaimed wood’s unsurpassed character is entirely authentic.
Each piece is carefully removed from its structure and brought to our mill. There, it’s properly dried and re-milled to produce a material with excellent durability and fit, while retaining the character and color of centuries-old lumber.
It depends on the type of wood, the width, finish and how much is being purchased. Prices start at $7.50 per square foot. Contact us for more details on pricing.
Between $100 and $700, depending on wood, size and finish. Typical time to finish a mantle is 3-4 weeks.

ABOUT US
Our Dad fell in love with the majesty of timber and the history of old buildings. He started Waltz Millworks in the 1970s to preserve the past by repurposing all kinds of building materials. A true wood worker, he found beauty and possibility in the grain.
We maintain our Dad’s passion, saving history for those who cherish things that are not mass manufactured. Old barns, cabins and buildings each have their specific treasures. We take our time salvaging them to create beauty for your home.
When we’re not repurposing wood, we’re busy rescuing bulldogs and ponies. You’re bound to find a few of them at the shop when you visit.
RECLAIMING NATURAL RESOURCES
Deeply sewn into the fabric of our local history, the Pennsylvania barn is our gift to the American farm. We proudly pursue and accept opportunities to reclaim the wood and other materials from these beautiful structures and give them a second chance at life. These barns have much to tell, and the wood they offer are rich with the character and detail of their storied past. Now, you can own a piece of their history through our reclaimed wood products.
